More McDonald’s weirdness from China!

McDonalds Sausage Double Beef BurgerMore McDonalds’s weirdness from China! Say hello to the sausage double beef burger.

That’s two beef patties, two sausages and a squirt of mustard. No veggies. Just meat & bread. It sounds more like something from Germany or Russia, not China.

(I think it would probably sell well in the US… although we’d probably want bacon & cheese on it too!)

I would like to present McDonalds with the DISGUSTING BURGER OF THE MONTH AWARD.

Big Bad Bison Burger

laurrapin-200x300Mom and Dad took me to Laurrapin in Havre de Grace, MD.

I ordered the Big Bad Bison Burger which is made from local bison (from Gunpowder Farm in Monkton, MD), grilled & topped with provolone cheese, and served on a Brioche roll with lettuce, tomato and onion. The burger is topped off with Laurrapin’s signature “Big Bad Burger Sauce.”

I had my burger served “medium” because bison is a lean meat and I did not want it to be dried out by overcooking. It was exceptionally tasty and I recommend if you want something different to ordinary beef.¬† I award the Big Bad Bison Burger a score of 8 out of 10. It really is one of the best in Harford County.

Mom had the falafel (WHAT?) and Dad had the Pear Gorgonzola salad (STINKY!). These would not be my choices – there’s a lamb burger and a Guinness burger still waiting to be tried – but I suppose it’s OK that there are¬†healthy vegetables on the menu too. Old people need their vegetables & vitamins.
